I left the room for 5 minutes and came back to find my baby girl on top of the dinning room table. Silly baby.

Today's my 30th Birthday. I have had a hard time coming to terms with this number and if you ask my kid's they will tell you I'm 27. Forever 27. Maybe tomorrow I'll be 30 but I'm not ready for it today.

Thrift Store finds

Today I hit my favorite thrift store Encore in search of mason jars and table cloths but no luck. I did find lots of other GREAT deals.

large glass bowl $3.00 / two vases $.50 + $.25 / set of plates $3.oo

two milk glass bowls for $2.00 / silver bangle bracelet .25

necklace $3.00 / kitchen aid whisk .50

This is a 5 ft wooden fire place mantel. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it but it only cost me $9.00. I check at Lowes on line and this mantel sells of around $200.00.

And finally I got Nellers a portable high chair that attaches to the table for $5.00.

Total cost for my thrift store finds $25.50. I love a good at the thrift store.

a baby no more

I am faced with a sad realization that my baby is no longer a baby. Penelope is now TODDLER. And I am having a very hard time with this. Today she is 14 mns 12 days old. Way to old. She has turned into a little person with her own personality. She reminds of her brother Matt (that scares me). Penny in fearless and adventuress. Today she pushed are very heavy wooden step stool up to the sink and scaled it like a professional Mt. climber ( I often find her at the sink because that were all the fun is). She doesn't just climb the step stool, the couch, the back of the couch, the dinning room chairs, ottomans, everything. And she runs, very fast. The ladies who work the infant nursery at our wonderful church have hinted that Penny is old enough to be moved into the toddle nursery. I choose to ignore their suggestions.

Just a side note. PJ was 14 mns old when I had Ben. I can't imagine what it would be like to have Penny and a brand new baby right now, but maybe..., if I can talk Mr Tripp into..., someday..., who knows...?
